find out what pests are invading your home
termites
Termites are known as “silent destroyers” because of their ability to chew through wood, flooring and even wallpaper undetected. There are about 2,000 known termite species in the world. Each year, termites cause more than RM20.73 billion in property damage.
Ants
Why are ants considered pests? … What’s more, the ants which are typically found indoors are worker ants and they’re foraging for food. As well as stealing food supplies, any food they have left will be tainted because ants travel through unpleasant and dirty places before entering buildings.
Cockroaches
Cockroaches are among the most common pests in many homes and other buildings. At night they search for food in kitchens, food storage places, rubbish bins, drains and sewers. They are pests because of their filthy habits and bad smell. In addition to that, some people may also become allergic to cockroaches after frequent exposure.
Rats
Rats are known for the damage they cause by chewing on materials, urinating on food and eating stored foods. They have also been known to chew on wires, which can cause fires to start. Also, they carry diseases and ectoparasites. Furthermore, Rats will also attack both animals and humans.
Mosquitoes
Mosquitoes have long legs, and a long proboscis or “nose” that female mosquitoes use to “bite” people and pets to draw blood, needed to lay eggs. … apart from that, Mosquitoes are pesky pests and can spread disease such as West Nile Virus, dengue and malaria. More commonly, mosquitoes threaten family events more than health.
Flies
Many are considered pests because they pose a health risk to humans, pets and livestock. Flies can infest your home or business and spread diseases like Salmonella and E. coli. Besides, a few species may even bite humans and animals.
